Tirana, October 13, 2016
The Albanian Association of Banks (AAB) and the Information Security Committee organized the Information Security Forum. The forum was attended by experts in the field from banks operating in Albania as well as international experts, representatives of the National Agency of the Information Society (AKSHI), the Bank of Albania, and the Association of Banks of Kosovo, consulting companies, etc.
Mr. Spiro Brumbulli, Secretary General of AAB, in his opening speech, among other things, stated that the special attention and priority being shown by all state institutions, public institutions, and private organizations for security is related to today and tomorrow of the citizen as the center of development. Since information security is a source of systemic risk, the purpose of the forum is to raise security awareness to act in the electronic world as in the real world. Security is on both the developer and client side, for data in transit and attacks against servers.
The event was organized in three sections during which the guests discussed and debated in different panels the latest challenges in the field of information security and digital banking, the evolution of risks in technology, and response procedures in the conditions of new risks.
The month of October has been announced by the countries of the European Union as the month of security.
